Microwavable apple crisp

Don’t be fooled! This dish tastes just as good as if it just came out of the oven (it’s been taste-tested and approved!).  You could change up the fruit if you liked: I’ve added pear to the apple, and it was amazing. Peaches would also be tasty, as would blueberries (or those two combined!).

Helpful hint: mix all dry ingredients and place in baggies to have on hand in case you ever want to ‘wow’ company or are craving apple crisp to go with your coffee!

Ingredients:

  • 4-5 medium sized apples, chopped
  • ½ C oats
  • ¾ C flour
  • ½ C brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • ¼ C butter
The perfect dish for afternoon tea with a mommy friend.

Directions:

Soften butter at room temperature or for a few seconds in the microwave.

Butter a microwavable dish. 10×10 or something similar in size. I use an oblong dish.

Stir oats, flour, sugar, and cinnamon together. Add softened butter.

Spread apples in the dish. Cover with the above topping.

Microwave uncovered on high for 15 minutes. Let cool 15 minutes and then serve.
